8-A-Night

When you get a great night’s sleep, you feel like you can rule the world. That’s why at Sleep Well we’re on a mission to help people get their eight-a-night.

How much sleep?

The Sleep Council says the recommended sleep for 18-35 year olds is seven to nine hours a night. Worryingly, the average UK person is under sleeping by at least an hour a night.  We’re a tired bunch and it’s really impacting our health and wellbeing.

We’re all different

Sleep is like height and we are all different.  Some people need more than eight hours whilst others need less.  Your sleep need is, to a large extent, genetically determined.  However much sleep you need, if you regularly get less than that, it’s going to become a problem.

How do you feel?

Your personal sleep need is essentially the amount of sleep that allows you to feel awake, refreshed and healthy the following day. If you feel awake during the day, that is the important part.  If you can feel that way on less than eight hours, that’s fine.  The key is to know how much YOU need and create a positive daytime and bedtime routine to help you achieve it.

We’ve developed our own 8-a-night marque to help promote our #sleepwell campaign.  If you’d like to get involved and use this marque on your own quality sleep products, drop us an email to [email protected] to find out more.
